DSL, Cable, Dedicated T-1, there are so many choices.  DSL and Cable are the least expensive and they      provide up to 6Mbps download and 640kbps upload on average.  Other cities are providing 20-40Mbps for Small and Medium Businesses now. 

Keep in mind that on average Enterprise Businesses that have 500+ employees accessing the internet use an average of 5-6Mbps.  There are peaks above this of course.
